No. B/RR/2024 -RIMS(12) ––In exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 3(ii) of the Bye -Laws of the Regional Institute of Medi cal Sciences, Imphal, Manipur and in pursuance of the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare conveyed vide letter No. U -12015/57/2022 -NE-Part (6) dated 22 -09- 2023, the Chairman, Executive Council, Society of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal. 1. Short title and commencement. - (i) These rules may be called the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Assistant Engineer (Electrical) (Group 'B' post) Recruitment Rules, 2023. (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Number of post, classification, level in pay matrix - The number of the said post, its classification and level in pay matrix, shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 3. Method of recruitment, age Limit, qualifications, etc. - The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule. 4. Disqualification. - No Person, - (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person; shall be eligible for appointment to the said post: Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. 5. Power to relax. - where the central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 6. Saving. - Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Other Backward Classes, the Ex-servicemen or any other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard. , SCHEDULE 1 Name of post Assistant Engineer (Electrical) 2 Number of post 1* (2023) *Subject to variation dependent on workload 3 Classification Group ‘B’ 4 Level in the Pay Matrix Level – 7 of Pay Matrix 5 Whether Selection post or non - selection post Not applicable 6 Age limit for direct recruits Not exceeding 30 years (Relaxable for Government servants up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government) 7 Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute with 3 years practical experience. 8 Whether age and educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruits will apply in case of promotees No 9 Period of probation, if any Two years for direct recruit 10 Method of recruitment whether by direct recruitment or by promotion or by deputation/ absorption and percentage of vacancies to be filled by various methods By Promotion failing which by Direct Recruitment 11 In case of promotion by recruitment by promotion/ deputation/ absorption to be made Promotion: Junior Engineer (Electrical) of the Institute in Level -06 of the Pay Matrix with 5 (five) years regular service in the grade. 12 If a Departmental Promotion Committee/ Selection Committee For Promotion: 1.
