Gazette Tracker
Gazette Tracker

Changelog

Changelog of Gazette Tracker since launch.

September 2026

Sep 8
Commencement Tracker
See when Acts, Rules and Orders actually come into force. A ledger of commencement notifications by effective date, with anything notified but not yet in force at the top. Where an instrument amends another Act, the Act being amended is named. Search by instrument or browse the index; instruments brought into force in stages have their own timeline.
Sep 8
Missing summaries filled in
A small number of notifications that had no summary, or a summary that did not match the document, now have a correct one.
Sep 4
Better near-matches
Searches with no exact match now return a short list of genuine near-matches — or say plainly that nothing exists.

August 2026

Aug 27
Ingestion through e-Gazette outages
New gazettes continue to arrive even when the e-Gazette website is failing.
Aug 18
Machine-readable access requires an account
Programmatic access to gazette data now needs a login; every public page is unchanged.
Aug 17
More forgiving long searches
Long searches no longer fail because of one incidental word; a gazette number anywhere in a query opens that gazette.
Aug 12
Search understands gazette IDs
Paste a full gazette ID (CG-DL-E-…) or its bare 6-digit number into search and land directly on the document.
Aug 11
Smarter typo correction
Spelling correction now applies everywhere you can search, including the dashboard feed.
Aug 10
Better search ranking
Searching a rules title now puts those rules first.
Aug 9
“Did you mean” search
Misspelled searches suggest the likely term (trubunal → tribunal), always labelled, with one click back to your literal query. Hyphenated queries (“NH-60”) now match properly.
Aug 8–10
Historical archive completed
Coverage now runs continuously from 2023 to today.
Aug 5
“Close matches” fallback
Multi-word searches that match nothing exactly now show the nearest overlapping documents instead of an empty page.
Aug 2
Anonymous search rate limiting
Added to keep the service fast for everyone.
