NOTIFICATION

F. No. B/RR/2023-RIMS:(2). In exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 3(ii) of the Bye-Laws of the
Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur and in pursuance of the approval of the Ministry of Health &
Family Welfare conveyed vide letter No. U-12015/57/2022-NE-Part (10) dated 07-08-2023, the Chairman, Executive
Council, Society of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal hereby makes the following rules regulating the
method of recruitment to the post of Dietician in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal.
1. Short title and commencement.-
(i) These rules may be called the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Dietician (Group 'B' post)
Recruitment Rules, 2023.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Number of post, classification, level in pay matrix- The number of the said post, its classification and level in pay
matrix, shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules.
3. Method of recruitment, age Limit, qualifications, etc.- The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and
other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule.
4. Disqualification.- No Person,-
(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person; shall be eligible for
appointment to the said post:
Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal
law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt
any person from the operation of this rule.
5. Power to relax. - where the central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may,
by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class
or category of persons.
6. Saving. - Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be
provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Other Backward Classes, the Ex-servicemen or any other
special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this
regard.

A.
1. holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent
cadre/department; or
2. with 5 years' service in the grade rendered after appointment on a
regular basis in Level-^ of the pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent
cadre/department and
B. Possess the following educational qualification and experience
Essential:
1. M.Sc. in Food & Nutrition/Home Science/ M.Sc. Clinical Nutrition
& Dietetics/ M.Sc. Food Service Management & Dietetics from a
recognized University
2. 3 years of practical experience as Dietician in a minimum 300-
bedded hospital.
Note:
Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre
post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some
other organization/Department of the Central Government shall
ordinarily not exceed five years. The maximum age limit for
appointment on deputation (ISTC) shall not be exceeding 56 years as
on the closing date of receipt of application.
If the Departmental Candidate (Assistant Dietician) in Level- 6 of pay
Matrix with 05 years' of regular service is selected for appointment to
the post; it shall be treated as having been filed by promotion.

a nominee of the beneficiary states not below the rank of Deputy
Secretary/ Joint Director (by rotation) – Member
4. Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal - Member
5. One expert in the subject concerned- Member
6. Deputy Director (Admn), RIMS, Imphal – Member Secretary
