The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs) issued Notification S.O. 6043(E) on 26th December, 2025. In accordance with sub-rule (4) of Rule 10 of the Official Language (Use for Official Purposes of the Union) Rules, 1976 (as amended in 1987), the Central Government has notified five offices within the Department of Consumer Affairs where the percentage of staff possessing a working knowledge of Hindi has exceeded 80%. These offices include: 1. National Consumer Cooperative Federation of India Ltd. Chennai Branch Office, Anna Salai, Chennai - 600006; 2. National Consumer Cooperative Federation of India Ltd. Hyderabad Branch Office, King Koti Road, Hyderabad - 500001; 3. National Consumer Cooperative Federation of India Ltd. Visakhapatnam Branch Office, Dab Garden, Visakhapatnam - 530020; 4. National Consumer Cooperative Federation of India Ltd. Raipur Branch Office, Ravi Nagar Shukla Colony, Raipur (CG) – 492001; and 5. Regional Reference Standard Laboratory, Jakkur, Bengaluru - 560064.
