The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs), by S.O. 2116(E) dated 27 May 2024, in continuation of its earlier notification S.O. 3151I dated 11 July 2023, and pursuant to Department of Personnel & Training O.M. No. 36/05/2024-EO(SM-I) dated 22 February 2024 and a further O.M. dated 8 May 2024, exercising powers under sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016) read with Rule 9 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018, extended the appointment of Shri Pramod Kumar Tiwari, IAS (AM:1991), as Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards beyond 23 May 2024 until he attains the age of sixty years/superannuation on 31 October 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier; the notification was issued under File No. 2/8/2014-BIS and signed by Bharat Khera, Additional Secretary.
