NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 25th August, 2025
G.S.R. 576(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India
Service Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), read with sub-rules (1) and(2) of Rule 4 of Indian Forest Service (Cadre) Rules, 1966,
the Central Government in consultation with the Government of Nagaland hereby makes the following regulations
further to amend the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1966, namely:-
1. (i) These regulations shall be called the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Third
Amendment Regulations, 2025.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1966, in the Schedule, for the
heading "Nagaland" and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely :-

Note-1: Prior to the issue of this Notification, the Total Authorized Strength of the IFS cadre of Nagaland
was 45.
Note-2: The Principal regulations were notified vide notification No.6/1/66-AIS (IV), dated 31-10-1966 vide
GSR No.1072 in the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of cadre strength) Regulations, 1966, and subsequently
been amended, vide notifications given below:-
