Short title and commencement.- (1) These regulations may be called the Union Public Service Commission (Exemption from Consultation) Amendment Regulations, 2026. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Union Public Service Commission (Exemption from Consultation) Regulations, 1958, in Schedule-II, after item 11 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:- "12. Filling up the posts of Mission Director, National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems, and Mission Director, National Quantum Mission, in Department of Science and Technology, on deputation (including short-term contract) basis".
