Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Second Amendment Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of July, 2027. 2. In the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011, in rule 6 for sub-rule (10A), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:- "(10A) Every e-commerce entity offering for sale any imported product shall, with effect from the 1st day of July, 2027, ensure that the product listing of such imported product contains a searchable and sortable filter specifying the country of origin.".
