Notification G.S.R. 448(E), issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training), New Delhi, dated 24th July 2024, under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), in consultation with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It notifies the Indian Police Service (Pay) Second Amendment Rules, 2024, effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette, amending Schedule II of the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 2016. In Part A (posts carrying pay above the senior scale under State Governments), the entries for "Andhra Pradesh" are substituted with a revised list of posts and corresponding Pay Levels (Level 13A to Level 17 in the Pay Matrix), including Director General of Police (HoPF) at Level 17, Director General of Police (ACB) at Level 16, and various Additional DGP, Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Police, and Deputy Inspector General posts at Levels 13A-15. In Part B (posts carrying pay in the senior scale, including special-allowance posts), the entries under "Andhra Pradesh" are substituted with a revised list of Superintendent of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police, and equivalent posts across districts and specialised units. The notification states the principal rules were published vide GSR 910(E) dated 23rd September 2016, and lists a table of 26 subsequent amending GSR notifications from 84E (01.02.17) through 252(E) (22.04.2024). (1) These rules may be called the Indian Police Service (Pay) Second Amendment Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2.
