NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 22nd May, 2025
G.S.R. 340(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5)
of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India
in relation to persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby makes the
following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2021, namely : -
1. Short title and commencement.-
(1) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Pension) Amendment Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2021, inrule 37, in sub-rule (29), for clause (c), the
following shall be substituted, namely:-
“(c) the dismissal or removal from service of the public sector undertaking of any employee after his
absorption in such undertaking for any subsequent misconduct shall lead to forfeiture of the retirement
benefits for the service rendered under the Government also and in the event of his dismissal or removal or
retrenchment the decision of the undertaking shall be subject to review by the Ministry administratively
concerned with the undertaking.
Explanation - For the purposes of this sub-rule, the relevant provisions of rules 7 and 8 read with rule 41
and sub-rule (5) of rule 44shall be applicable analogous as it is applicable to a Government servant under
these rules."
