L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-22062026-273720 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3171] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, JUNE 22, 2026/ASHADHA 1, 1948 4568 GI/2026 MINISTRY OF STEEL ORDER New Delhi, the 20th June, 2026 S.O. 3300(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 read with section 17 and sub-section (3) of section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards hereby makes the following order to amend the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024, namely: - 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) This order may be called the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2026. (2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024, - (a) in Schedule 1, enforcement of IS Number and IS Title at serial numbers 23 and 129 and the entries relating thereto shall not be operative for a period of 3 years from date of publication in the gazette. (b) in schedule 1, enforcement of IS Number and IS Title at serial numbers 51,52 and 53 and the entries relating thereto shall not be operative for a period up to 31st March, 2027 from date of publication in the gazette.
