(1) These rules may be called the Indian Forest Service (Cadre) Amendment Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Indian Forest Service (Cadre) Rules, 19 66, in rule 4, in sub -rule (2), after the second proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely :- “Provided also that the redetermined strength and composition of each such cadre shall be applicable only prospectively from the date of notification in the Official Gazette.” [F.
