(1) These rules may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Amendm ent Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954 , in rule 4, in s ub-rule (2), after the second proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: - “Provide d also that the redetermined strength and composition of each such cadre shall be applicable only prospectively from the date of notification in the Official G azette.” [F.
