NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th February, 2025
G.S.R. 137(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (a), (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of section
50 of the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007 (37 0f 2007), the Central Government hereby makes
the following rules further to amend the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses Rules,
2017, namely: -
1. Short title and commencement.-(1) These rules may be called the Warehousing (Development and Regulation)
Registration of Warehouses (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses Rules, 2017, (hereinafter referred to
as the said rules), in rule 2, in sub rule (1), after clause (a), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-
"(aa) "Administrator Warehouse Service Provider" means any entity or person or warehouseman appointed
by the Authority to take control of and manage, or take control and liquidate goods, under rule 35;
"
3. In the said rules, in rule 16, in sub rule (2), after clause (e), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
"Provided that the above requirement shall not be applicable to Administrator Warehouse Service Provider
appointed by the Authority under Rule 35; "
4. In the said rules, in rule 35, in sub rule (3), in clause (b), for the word, "external person" the word
"Administrator Warehouse Service Provider" shall be substituted".
