Use of Aadhaar Authentication services by NRA for establishing the identity of applicants, public examination functionaries and other stakeholders involved in public examinations

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-16052025-263139 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2123] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, MAY 15, 2025/VAISAKHA 25, 1947 MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS (Department of Personnel and Training) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th May, 2025 S.O. 2173(E). — In pursuance of sub clause (ii) of clause (b) of sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, (as amended) read with rule 5 of the Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation, Knowledge) Rules, 2020, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, having been authorized by the Central Government, hereby notifies that the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is allowed to perform Aadhar authentication, on voluntary basis, for establishing the identity of applicants, public examination functionaries and other stakeholders involved in public examinations, during various stages of examination, including registration on the portal of NRA, using Yes/No or/and e-KYC authentication facilities. National Recruitment Agency (NRA) shall adhere to all relevant provisions of the Act, the rules and regulations made thereunder, and directions issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India.
