The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Department of Empowerment of Persons With Disabilities) issued Notification S.O. 5709(E) on 05th December, 2025, exercising powers under sub-section (4) of section 3 of the National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act, 1999 (44 of 1999). This notification amends the Government of India's previous notification S.O. 1700(E), dated 3rd May, 2019, which was published on 7th May, 2019, regarding the appointment of Members under clause (b) of sub-section (4) of section 3 of the said Act. Effective from its publication date, the new notification substitutes serial numbers 2 to 10 and their corresponding entries in the original notification. The newly appointed members are Shri Guriqbal Singh Bedi (Autism India Today, Punjab), Dr Ashish Kumar (Aastha Rehab Care Society, Odisha), Shri Sukhami Lal (Jeevan Jyoti Samaj Sewa Sansthan, Uttar Pradesh), Shri Pankaj Maru (Sarthi Ratlam Run by Lakhdatar Foundation, Madhya Pradesh), Ms. Chaitali Gami (South Kolkata Parasmoni, West Bengal), Ms. Seema Chadha (Muskaan Parents Association for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disability, Delhi), Shri Mohan Kumar (Koshi Kshetriya BiklangBidhwa Bridh Kalyan Samiti, Bihar), Shri Kapil Kumar Aggarwal (Viklang Sahara Samiti, Delhi), and Dr Sapam Jasowanta Singh (Handicapped Development Foundation, Manipur), representing various voluntary organizations and associations of parents or persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation (Intellectual Disabilities), and Multiple Disability. These members will hold office on the Board of the National Trust for a period of three years, provided they have not attained the age of sixty-five years. The principal notification S.O. 1700(E) was previously amended by notification S.O.5380(E), dated 9th November, 2022. The notification is signed by RAJEEV SHARMA, Jt. Secy. (F. L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-12122025-268463 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 5521] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2025/AGRAHAYANA 19, 1947 MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT (Department of Empowerment of Persons With Disabilities) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 05th December, 2025 S.O. 5709(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 3 of the National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act, 1999 (44 of 1999), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments further to amend the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities) number S.O. 1700(E), dated the 3rd May, 2019 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3, sub- section (ii), dated the 7th May, 2019, for appointment of Members under clause (b) of sub-section (4) of section 3 of the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette. 2. In the said notification, for serial numbers 2 to 10 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:- "2. Ms. Chaitali Gami South Kolkata Parasmoni, West Bengal -Member (Representative from Association of Parents -Autism) 7.
