Item (i) of sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 3 is substituted to extend, up to 30th September 2024, stock limits across all States and Union Territories on Tur and Chana pulses (excluding Kabuli Chana): Wholesalers are limited to 200 MT per pulse; Retailers to 5 MT per pulse; Big chain retailers to 5 MT per pulse at each retail outlet and 200 MT at each depot; Millers to their last three months' production or 25% of annual installed capacity, whichever is higher; and Importers may not hold imported stock beyond forty-five days from the date of customs clearance. Legal entities must declare their stock position on the Department of Consumer Affairs portal (fcainfoweb.nic.in/psp) and, if holding stocks above the prescribed limits, must bring them into compliance by 12th July 2024, with stock positions to be regularly declared and updated thereafter. L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-11072024-255344 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2582] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JULY 11, 2024/ASHADHA 20, 1946 4172 GI/2024 MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD AND PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION (Department of Consumer Affairs) Order New Delhi, the 11th July, 2024 S.O. 2718(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following order further to amend the Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs Order, 2016, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement- (1) This Order may be called the Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs (Second Amendment) Order, 2024. (2) It shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs Order, 2016, in paragraph 3, in sub-paragraph (2), for item (i), the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(i) pulses namely Tur and Chana, excluding Kabuli Chana, for a period up to 30th September, 2024 with following stock limits for all States and Union Territories: Wholesaler: 200 MT for each of the pulse; * Retailer: 5 MT for each of the pulse; * Big chain retailers: 5 MT for each of the pulse at each retail outlet and 200 MT at each depot for each of the pulse; * Miller: Last 3 months production or 25% of annual installed capacity, whichever is higher; * Importer: Not to hold imported stock beyond forty-five days from the date of custom clearance. (a) respective legal entities shall declare the stocks position on the portal of Department of Consumer Affairs (fcainfoweb.nic.in/psp) and in case the stocks held by them are higher than the prescribed limits then they shall bring the same to the prescribed stock limits by 12th July, 2024. (b) it shall be ensured that pulses stock is regularly declared and updated on the portal of the Department of Consumer Affairs. [F.
