NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th May, 2025
G.S.R. 298(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (a), (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of section
50 of the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007 (37 0f 2007), the Central Government hereby makes
the following rules further to amend the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses
Rules, 2017, namely: -
1.(1) These rules may be called the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses
(Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses Rules, 2017,- in rule 11, in sub-rule
(2) for the words “fifteen working days” the words “seven working days” shall be substituted;
3. In the said rules, in rule 12-
(i) in sub-rule (1), for the words “ twenty one working days”, the words "seven working days” shall be
substituted;
(ii) In sub-rule (2), in the proviso, for the words "twenty-one working days", the words "seven working days"
shall be substituted.

Note- The Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses Rules, 2017 were published in
the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3, subsection (i), vide number G.S.R- 165(E), dated the
23rd February, 2017 and last amended vide number G.S.R. 311(E), dated the 4th June, 2024.
