No. PNGRB/Auth/1-CGD(5)/2024 (E-5303).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 61 of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006 (19 of 2006), the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Authorizing Entities to Lay, Build, Operate or Expand City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks) Regulations, 2008, namely: - 1. Short title and commencement. (1) These regulations may be called the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Authorizing Entities to Lay, Build, Operate or Expand City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks) Amendment Regulations, 2024. (2) They shall come into force after seven days from the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. In the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Authorizing Entities to Lay, Build, Operate or Expand City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks) Regulations, 2008, - (a) In regulation 2, in sub-regulation (1), in clause (i), the words "or cascades or any other permitted mode" shall be omitted. (b) In regulation 3, - (i) sub-regulation 2, clause (b), sub-clause (ii), shall be substituted, namely:- "Through a natural gas pipeline, authorised or accepted by the Board under the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Authorizing Entities to Lay, Build, Operate or Expand Natural Gas Pipelines) Regulations, 2008, not forming part of the CGD network;" (ii) sub-regulation 2, clause (c), shall be substituted, namely:- "Customers having requirement of natural gas to an extent of more than 100,000 SCMD, shall be supplied through a natural gas pipeline, authorised or accepted by the Board under the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Authorizing Entities to Lay, Build, Operate or Expand Natural Gas Pipelines) Regulations, 2008, not forming part of the CGD network."
