Notification S.O. 1930(E) issued by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Food and Public Distribution, New Delhi, dated 7th May 2024, whereby the Central Government, in exercise of powers under sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023 (18 of 2023), appoints the 7th day of May, 2024 as the date on which the amendments to the Food Corporations Act, 1964 (37 of 1964), specified against serial number 17 of the Schedule to the said Act, shall come into force. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023 (18 of 2023), the Central Government hereby appoints the 07th day of May, 2024 as the date on which the provisions of the said Act, in so far as it relates to amendments in the Food Corporations Act, 1964 (37 of 1964) specified against serial number 17 of the Schedule to the said Act, shall come into force.
