By notification F. No. J-9/11/2019-CPU dated 30 November 2023, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, exercising powers under sub-section (2) of section 10 and sub-section (2) of section 15 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (35 of 2019), and having regard to the Department of Personnel and Training's order No. 36/01/2023-EO(SM-I)(2) dated 31 August 2023 and the gazette notification of even number dated 25 September 2023, partially modified its earlier notification of even number dated 29 July 2020 to assign the additional charge of Chief Commissioner of the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) to Shri Rohit Kumar Singh, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, in place of Ms. Nidhi Khare, Special Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, for the smooth functioning of the CCPA.
