NOTIFICATION
Delhi, the 26th June, 2024
F. No. 50(9)/DC/Estt./2023/261.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the constitution read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. S.O. 3532 dated 24.09.1968 and in supersession of the Notification No. F.53/143/94-H&FW/4076 dated 29.01.2001, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi after prior consultation with Union Public Service Commission, hereby makes following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Senior Scientific Assistant (Microbiology) in the Drugs Control Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, namely:
1. Short title and commencement- (i) These rules may be called the Drugs Control Department, Senior Scientific Assistant (Microbiology) Recruitment Rules, 2024 (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Number of post, Classification and Pay Level in Pay Matrix- The number of the said post, its classification and the pay level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules.
3. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications, etc.-The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule aforesaid.
4. Disqualification.-No person,
(a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
(b) Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person,
Shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:
Provided that the Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.
5. Power to Relax- Where the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.
6. Saving- Nothing in these rules, shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Ex-servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard.
SCHEDULE
Recruitment Rules for the post of Senior Scientific Assistant (Microbiology) in the Drugs Control Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi
(1) Name of Post: Senior Scientific Assistant (Microbiology)
(2) Number of Posts: 02 (2024) *subject to variation dependent on work load.
(3) Classification: General Central Service, Non Ministerial, Non-Gazetted Group, B
(4) Pay Level in the Pay Matrix: 6; Remark: Level 6 (Rs. 35400-112400) in the Pay Matrix
(5) Whether Selection Post/ Non-Selection Post: Not applicable
(6) Age limit for direct recruits: Not exceeding 30 years (Relaxable for Government servants upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government). 6(a) crucial description: The crucial date for determining the age-limit shall be as advertised by the Competent Authority.
(7) Educational and other Qualification required for Direct Recruits: [Essential qualification specified in the Schedule, including recognized degree/qualification in Microbiology and relevant experience, as applicable to the post].
(8) Whether age & Educational Qualification prescribed for direct recruits will apply in the case of promotees: [as specified in Schedule]
(9) Period of probation, if any: [as specified in Schedule]
