Establishment of Registration Districts and Sub Divisions in Delhi

No. 223/SDM-II(HQ)/Land/2025/610.—In supersession of all previous notifications on the subject, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 read with section 7 of the Registration Act, 1908 (Act No. 16 of 1908), and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to establish, with immediate effect, thirteen (13) registration districts and thirty-nine (39) registration sub- divisions, the territorial jurisdiction of which shall be co-terminus with the boundaries of the respective revenue districts and sub-divisions, as notified vide Notification No. F.223/SDM-II(HQ)/Land/ 2025/285 dated 25th December, 2025, published in the Delhi Gazette, Extraordinary, Part IV, No. 3961, and to establish in each of the said thirteen (13) registration districts an office to be styled as the office of the Registrar, and in each of the said thirty-nine (39) registration sub-divisions an office to be styled as the office of the Sub-Registrar. This shall be without prejudice to the validity of anything done or any action taken, or any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under the notifications so superseded before the commencement of this notification. The names of the thirteen (13) revenue districts and their respective sub-divisions are specified in the Schedule annexed hereto. This notification shall come into force with immediate effect.
