No. 506 GOVERNMENT OF INDIA SG-DL-E-28032024-253448 2 DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY PART II—I] HIGH COURT OF DELHI: N EW DELHI NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 27th March, 2024 No. 22/Rules/DHC .— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 7 of the Delhi High Court Act, 1966 (Act 26 of 1966) read with Sections 122 and 129 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the High Court of Delhi, hereby makes t he following amendment in Part A of Chapter 3 of Volume V of the Delhi High Court Rules & Orders : - AMENDMENT THE FOLLOWING SHALL BE INSERTED AS RULE 8A AFTER THE EXISTIN G RULE 8 OF PART A OF CHAPTER 3 OF VOLU ME V OF THE DELHI HI GH COURT RULES & ORD ERS :- “8A. Party appearing in person — The Court may, in its discretion and after recording its brief reasons, disallow a party from appearing in person. Provided, in such event the Court will give sufficient time to the party -in-person to be represented by a lawyer of the party’s choice or where the party desires to be represented by an Amicus Curiae or legal aid counsel appointed by the Court.” NOTE: THIS AMENDMENT SHALL COME INTO FORCE FROM THE DATE OF ITS PUBLICATION IN THE GAZETTE .
