No. 1/16/2020 -Judl./P.F. -1/Suptlaw/1705 -1710 .—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution read with Government of India, Ministry of Hom e Affair’s Notification No.F.1/2/70/DH(S), dated the 29th May, 1970 as amended by Notification No.F.1/2/70 -DH(S), dated the 25th July, 1970 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Lieutenant Governor of National Captial Territory of Delhi in consultation with the High Court of Delhi is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1970, namely: — 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called t he Delhi Higher Judicial Service (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Rule 18: - In the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1970, (hereinafter refe rred to as the said rules) in place of existing Rule 18, the following shall be substituted, namely : - 18. The pay scales of the Service shall be as follows: - 1. District Judges Entry level Time Scale (J-5) Rs. 144840 -194660 2. Selection Grade [limited t o 35% of cadre posts of District Judges Entry level Time Scale and will be given to those having not less than five years of continuous service in the cadre on assessment of merit -cum-seniority] (J-6) Rs.163030 - 219090 3. District Judges (Super time s cale) (This scale would also be available to 15% of the cadre strength of District Judges, and would be given to those who have put in not less than three years of continuous service in selection grade on assessment of merit -cum-seniority) (J-7) Rs.19910 0-224100 4 DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY PART IV] 3. Amendment of Rule 20: - In the said Rules, in place of existing Rule 20, the following shall be substituted, namely : - 20. The Pay of promoted Officers shall be fixed in accordance with pay structure recommended by SNJPC in Table -I of its report. 4. Insertion of Table - 1 in the Rules after Appendix: The following Table - 1 specified in Rule 20 be added after Appendix, namely: - Table -I (See Rule 20 of Delhi Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1970) Sr. No .
