THE DELHI FIRE SERVICE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2026 (DELHI ACT No. 09 OF 2026) (As passed by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on 11th August, 2026). [25th August, 2026] An Act to further to amend the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2007. BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Seventy-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Seventy-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. Short title and commencement. — (1) This Act may be called the Delhi Fire Service (Amendment) Act, 2026. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2. Amendment of section 2 - In the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2007 (Delhi Act 2 of 2009), in section 2, in clause (i), for the words "building bye-laws/National Building Code of India", the words "building bye-laws" shall be substituted".
