Detailed Summary

The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, issued a notification in Delhi on November 17, 2025 (F. No. 6/1/2015-Judl./P.F.1/Suptlaw/2077-2085). Under the provisions of Section 20 of the Punjab Courts Act, 1918, as applicable in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, the Lt. Governor, based on the recommendation of the High Court of Delhi, appointed Mr. Ashwani Kumar Sarpal, an Officer of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service, as Principal District Judge. This appointment is on a regular basis and takes effect from the date Mr. Sarpal assumes charge. The order was issued by Reetesh Singh, Principal Secretary, in the name of the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
