National Capital Territory of Delhi received the assent of the Lt. Governor of Delhi on the 31st August, 2026
and is hereby published for general information.
THE DELHI URBAN SHELTER IMPROVEMENT BOARD (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2026
(DELHI ACT No. 11 OF 2026)

An Act to to amend the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board Act, 2010.
BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Seventy-seventh
Year of the Republic of India as follows:
1. Short title and commencement
(1) This Act may be called the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (Amendment) Act, 2026.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification published in the Official
Gazette, appoint.
2. Amendment of section 2.
In section 2 of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board Act, 2010, in clause (g), in sub-clause (iii),
for the words and figures-
"It is inhabited at least by fifty households as existing on 1st January, 2006",
the words and figures-
"It is inhabited at least by fifty households as existing on 1st January, 2025",
shall be substituted.
