F. No. TPT/AS/STA/Misc. -4/2021/075681535/105119 .—Whereas, air quality in Delhi is ‘severe’ and urgent measures are needed to tackle the alarming situation of Air Pollution gripping Delhi. It has, therefore, been felt necessary in larger public interest to invoke restrictions in movement of polluting inter -state buses. Whereas, such restrictions are required to be invoked under the provisions of Section 115 of Motor Vehicle Act 1988 in public interest on emer gent basis to mitigate the effect of air vehicular pollution and violators will be penalized for defying Government orders. Hence, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 115 read with Clause (41) of Section 2 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, (59 of 1988), the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, hereby orders that the following restrictions be implemented in right earnest by all the agencies concerned in addition to restrictions imposed by CAQM under GRAP IV to make GRAP IV more stringent: - Entry of all buses, including All India Tourist buses / Contract Carriage buses / State Transport Buses or holding any other kind of permit into Delhi from other States except CNG / Electric or BS - VI diesel buses will be restricted as and when GRAP IV invokes. The above mentioned restrictions shall stand automatically applicable, as and when GRAP - IV is invoked from the date of issuance of this order in Delhi Gazette, and if the GRAP IV is revoked the said restrictions stand terminated a utomatically, no separate order will be issued.
