In exercise of the powers conferred by Section (15), read with sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 13 of the New Delhi Municipal Council Act, 1994 (44 of 1994), the Central Government hereby assigns the charge of Chairperson, New Delhi Municipal Council to Shri Naresh Kumar, IAS (AGMUT:1987), Chief Secretary, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, in addition to his existing charges, with effect from the date of assumption of charge for a term not exceeding 02 months or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
