Core Purpose

This notification clarifies that a No Objection Certificate (NOC) is not required for medical practitioners already registered with another State Medical Council or the National Medical Register seeking registration with the Delhi Medical Council.

Detailed Summary

The Delhi Medical Council, through Notification F. No. DMC/Reg./F.2/2/2026/339674 dated May 15, 2026, has clarified the requirements for registration under the Delhi Medical Council Act, 1997 and the Delhi Medical Council Rules, 2003. Following an examination, it was observed that there is no provision mandating the submission of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from medical practitioners who possess a recognized medical qualification as specified in the First, Second, or Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and are already registered with any State Medical Council (SMC) of any State or Union Territory in India, or the National Medical Register (NMR) or any other National Register recognized by the Government of India. Therefore, practitioners of modern scientific system of medicine (allopathy) intending to practice in the NCT of Delhi, who meet these existing registration criteria, will be considered for registration with the Delhi Medical Council based solely on a self-declaration furnished in the online application form, with no additional undertaking or approval required. The notification was issued under the authority of DR. VATSALA AGGARWAL, DGHS & Registrar DMC.
