No. 1/80/2026/Home-Admn./3706-15.— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, read with the relevant Recruitment Rules governing the posts of Warder and Matron in the Prison Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, and in pursuance of the policy of the Government of India for rehabilitation of Ex-Agniveers, as communicated vide D.O. Letter No. 45023/33/2022-PP(1) dated 25th March, 2026 of the Home Secretary, Government of India, the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to provide 20% horizontal reservation for Ex- Agniveers in direct recruitment to the posts of Warder and Matron in the Prison Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, subject to the following conditions, namely:- 1. Three years (3) age relaxation above the prescribed upper age limit in the relevant/applicable Recruitment Rules. 2. Age relaxation of five years (5) beyond the prescribed upper age limit may be given to the candidate of the first batch of Agniveer Scheme. 3. Relaxation in Physical Efficiency Test (PET) to Ex-Agniveer shall be decided by the respective Department. 4. In case of non-availability of suitable ex-Agniveers, the applicable guidelines of Govt. of India on horizontal reservation will be followed. 5. The 20% Horizontal Reservation will be available for all ex-Agniveers on lines of that for other Horizontal Reservation Categories. By the Order and in the Name of Lt.
