The Department of Law, Justice & Legislative Affairs, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, issued Notification F. No. 6/27/2025-Judl./Suptlaw/2146-2152 on December 2, 2025, concerning appointments and promotions to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service. The Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, in consultation with the High Court of Delhi, approved the promotion/appointment of Ms. Vidhi Gupta Anand from the Delhi Judicial Service to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service on a regular basis under Rule 7(1)(a) of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1970, effective from her assumption of charge and subject to probation. Additionally, Ms. Shriya Agrawal is appointed/promoted on an ad hoc basis to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service against a consequential vacancy in the 16 Fast Track Special Courts, which were sanctioned on a temporary/contractual basis by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi vide letter dated September 26, 2020. This ad hoc promotion does not confer any right of absorption or seniority, and Ms. Agrawal will revert to her substantive Delhi Judicial Service Cadre if the Fast Track Special Courts are discontinued. The order was issued by Reetesh Singh, Principal Secretary, in the name of the Lt. Governor.
