Governor of National Capi tal Territory of Delhi, hereby makes the following rules to further amend the Delhi Home Guards Rules, 1959, namely: - 1. Short title and commencement - (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Home Guards (Second Amendment), Rules, 2023. (2) They sh all come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette. 2. Amendment of rule 8. In Rule 8, after the twelfth proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: - “Provided also that the tenure of Home Guard Volunteers on roll as on 30th September, 2023 (and due for discharge between the period 30th September, 2023, to 31st March, 2024) may be extended up to 31st March, 2024 or till the time fresh enrolment takes place, whichever is earlier subject to satisfactory service records, g eneral conduct as Home Guards during the tenure and also subject to physical fitness and age limit as prescribed in the Rules”.
