NOTIFICATION
Delhi, the 3rd June, 2025
No. F. 19(45)/Tpt./Sectt./2024/107.—On being satisfied that the movement of high speed vehicles on the
below mentioned National Highways may pose risk to the safety of certain classes of comparatively slow moving
vehicles e.g. two wheelers, three wheelers and other slow moving vehicles like non-motorized vehicles, agricultural
tractors (with or without trailers) due to their vulnerability and associated speed differentials and compromise of the
road safety aspects, the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, in exercise of the powers
conferred by Section 115 (read with clause (41) of Section 2) read with section 200(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act,
1988 (59 of 1988), hereby orders that the following classes of vehicles are prohibited from using the below mentioned
National Highways in the following manner:

The violation of these orders shall attract a fine of Rs. 2000/- in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of
section 194 of the said Act.
Further, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 200 of the said Act, the Lieutenant Governor of
the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to authorize the following officers to compound the aforementioned
offence with the amount of Rupees 2000/-:
(a) Officers of the rank of Assistant sub-Inspector or above of Delhi Traffic Police;
(b) Officers of the rank of Head Constable and above of Transport Department, Government of the National
Capital Territory of Delhi.
The amount compounded by the authorized officers shall be deposited in the "Major Head 0041, taxes on vehicles, 101-
IMV (Fees & Fine)", of the Transport Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.
This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
