Consequently, practitioners of the modern scientific system of medicine (allopathy) who intend to practice in the NCT of Delhi, and are registered with any State Medical Council or Union Territory in India, or the National Medical Register, or any other National Register recognized by the Government of India, are now explicitly eligible for registration under the Delhi Medical Council Act, 1997, based solely on a self-declaration furnished in the online application form. No. DMC/ Reg./ F.2/2/2026/339674 dated 15 May 2026, the last paragraph of the said notification stands amended by substituting the word "considered" with "eligible". Accordingly, the last paragraph shall be read as under: Now, therefore, it is hereby informed to practitioners of modern scientific system of medicine (allopathy) who intends to practice in the NCT of Delhi that an applicant who is registered with any State Medical Council (SMC) of any state or Union Territory in India, or the National Medical Register (NMR) or any other National Register recognized by the Government of India and seeks registration with the Delhi Medical Council shall be eligible for registration under the Delhi Medical Council Act, 1997 on the basis of the self-declaration furnished by the applicant in the online application form. No additional undertaking/approval is required to be submitted to the Delhi Medical Council.
