No.1/3/2026/HP-1/Estt/1524 -1530.— In exercise of powers conferred by Section 10 of the Delhi Police Act, 1978 (34 of 1978), and Clause (1)(u) of Section 2 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, read with Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi Notification No. S.O. 2506 (E) dated 28th June 2024, (F. No. U-11030/3/2024-UTL), the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, with a view to establishing a specialised, women-friendly police station, hereby declares the Crime Against Women Cell, North District, Delhi Police, Subzi Mandi, as a "Women Police Station" for the purposes of conducting enquiries, registration, and investigation of offences against women. Such offences shall include, but not be limited to, sexual offences (including rape, molestation, eve-teasing, stalking, voyeurism, etc.), acid attacks, human trafficking, complaints relating to dowry harassment, domestic violence, matrimonial disputes, dowry deaths, and cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, as well as offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and other applicable local and special laws. The "Women Police Station-North District” shall exercise jurisdiction over the entire North District for which it is being notified, with effect from the date of issue of this notification. The said Women Police Station shall operate from the Subzi Mandi Police Station Complex and shall continue to do so unless relocated. In the event of any such relocation, the new premises shall be notified separately. This arrangement shall take effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
