By Notification No. 37/Rules/DHC dated 2nd May, 2024, the High Court of Delhi, exercising the rule-making power under Part X of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (5 of 1908) and clause (d) of sub-section (2) of Section 89 of that Code, amends the Mediation and Conciliation Rules, 2004 (notified vide Notification No. 171/Rules/DHC dated 11.08.2005 in Delhi Gazette Extraordinary, Part IV, No. 120 (N.C.T.D No. 478), and amended vide Notification No. 158/Rules/DHC dated 06.07.2006 in Delhi Gazette Extraordinary, Part IV, No. 111 (N.C.T.D No. 76)); the existing Rule 4(b) is substituted with a new provision requiring 'Legal practitioners with at least five years standing at the Bar at the level of the Supreme Court or the High Court or the District Courts'; the amendment comes into force from the date of its publication in the Gazette; the notification is issued by Order of the Court and signed by Kanwal Jeet Arora, Registrar General.

No. 38 PART II-I GOVERNMENT OF THE NATIONAL CAPITAL TERRITORY OF DELHI 2847 DG/2024 HIGH COURT OF DELHI: NEW DELHI NOTIFICATION Delhi, the 2nd May, 2024 No. 37/Rules/DHC.—In exercise of the rule making power under Part X of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (5 of 1908) and clause (d) of sub-section (2) of Section 89 of the said Code and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the High Court of Delhi hereby makes the following amendment in Mediation and Conciliation Rules, 2004, which were notified vide Notification No.171/Rules/DHC dated 11.08.2005, in Delhi Gazette Extraordinary, Part IV, No.120 (N.C.T.D No.478) dated 11.08.2005 and amended vide Notification No. 158/Rules/DHC dated 06.07.2006, published in Delhi Gazette Extraordinary, Part IV, No.111 (N.C.T.D No. 76) dated 06.07.2006:- AMENDMENT The following shall be substituted for the existing Rule 4 (b) of the Mediation and Conciliation Rules, 2004 :- "4(b) Legal practitioners with at least five years standing at the Bar at the level of the Supreme Court or the High Court or the District Courts."
