The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Census Branch, issued Notification F. No. 36(146)/Census./Div.Comm/2025/927 on August 28, 2025, to constitute a State Level Census Coordination Committee. This committee is formed to ensure the smooth and successful completion of Census, 2027, and to facilitate inter-departmental coordination on various aspects of the Census process. The Chief Secretary, Government of NCT of Delhi, will chair the committee, which comprises seventeen members. Key members include the Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary for Finance/Planning, Home, and Urban Development; the Chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council; the Commissioner of Police, Delhi; the Secretary (Revenue)-cum Divisional Commissioner (State Nodal Officer, Census); the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi; the Chief Executive Officer of the Delhi Cantonment Board and the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board; the Secretary (Information Technology); the Vice-Chairman of the Delhi Development Authority; and Secretaries for Social Welfare, Information and Publicity, and the State Election Commission. The Director of Census Operations, Delhi, MHA, Government of India, will serve as the Convener of the committee. The notification was issued by order and in the name of the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
