And whereas, the plan bearing Number SECL/BSP/GM(L and R)/LAND/16 dated 26th October, 2024, containing details of the area covered by this notification may be inspected at the office of the Collector, District Shahdol, Madhya Predesh or at the office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller's Organization, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th Floor, Core II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi 110092 or at the office of the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (Land & Revenue Dept), Seepat Road, Bilaspur 495006, Chhattisgarh or General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning & Design Institute limited, Gondwana Palace, Kanke Road, Ranchi 834031, Jharkhand; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal in the land described in the aforesaid schedule. Any person interested in the land described in the said Schedule may- i. claim compensation under Section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the said Act, or ii. claim compensation under sub-section (1) of Section 13 of the said Act, in respect of prospecting license ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of Section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the aforesaid land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act, to the Officer-In-Charge or Head of the Department (Revenue), South Eastern Coalfields Limited, Seepat Road, Bilaspur 495006, Chhattisgarh within a period of ninety days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
