L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-31012024-251670 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 72] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31, 2024/MAGHA 11, 1945 605 GI/2024 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3(i)] MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th January, 2024 G.S.R. 81(E).—WHEREAS draft notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3, Sub-section (i) vide notification of Government of India, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change number G.S.R. 372(E) dated 16.05.2023 inviting objections or suggestions from any person likely to be affected thereby within a period of sixty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public; AND WHEREAS, copies of the said notification were made available to the public on 16.05.2023; AND WHEREAS, no objections/suggestions were received from the public on the said notification; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 and Sub-section (1) of section 19 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 (14 of 1981), read with rule 8 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) (Union Territories) Rules, 1983, the Central Government after consultation with the Ladakh Pollution Control Committee, hereby declares, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the whole of the Union Territory of Ladakh as Air Pollution Control Area.
