L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-30012024-251644 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 337] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, JANUARY 29, 2024/MAGHA 9, 1945 MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th January, 2024 S.O. 358(E).-Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S.O. 122, dated the 3rd February, 2022 issued under sub-section (1) of section 4 of Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) published in the Gazette of India, Part II, section 3, sub-section (ii), dated the 5th February, 2022, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to prospect for coal in lands measuring 975.741 hectares (approximately) or 2411.05 acres (approximately) in the locality specified in the Schedule appended thereto, as also in the Schedule hereto annexed; And whereas, no notice under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the said Act has been given by the Central Government in respect of the said lands; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 7 of the said Act, 1957, the Central Government hereby specifies a further period of one year commencing from the 3rd day of February, 2024, as the period within which the Central Government may give notice of its intention to acquire the said lands or any rights in or over the said lands.
