MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28th November, 2023 S.O. 5064 (E ).—Whereas by the notifica tion of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S.O.1309(E), dated the 14th December, 2022, issued under sub -section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to a s the said Act) and published in the Gazette of India, Part II, section 3, sub -section (ii), dated the 14th December, 2022 ,the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire the lands measuring 38.20 hectares (approximately) or 94.39 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands specified in the Schedule appended to that notification; And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his re port to the Central Government; And whereas, the Central Government after considering the report aforesaid and after consulting the Government of West Bengal satisfied that the lands measuring 38.20 hectares (approximately) or 94. 39 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described in Schedule appe nded hereto should be acquired. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land measuring 38.20 hectares (approximately) or 94.39 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described i n Schedule are hereby acquired.
