MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28th November,2023 S.O. 5063 (E ).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry ofCoal number S.O. 2152(E), dated the 9th May, 2023, issued under sub -section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub -section (ii), date d the 10th May, 2023, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire the lands measuring 105.153 hectares (approximately) or 259.835 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands specified in the Schedule appended to that notif ication; And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his report to the Central Government; And whereas, the Central Government after considering the report aforesaid and after consulting the Government of Jhar khand, is satisfied that the lands measuring 82.602 hectares (approximately) or 204.109 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described in Schedule appended hereto should be acquired; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land measuring 82.602 hectares (approximately) or 204.109 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described in Schedule are her eby acquired.
