Appointment of competent authority in relation to Notaries appointed by Central Government

In pursuance of sub-rule (1) of rule 4 of the Notaries Rules, 1956 and in supersession of notification of the Government of India in Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Legal Affairs number S.O.3191(E), dated the 3rd September, 2019 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), the Central Government hereby designates the following officers in the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice as competent authority, namely :- 1. Smt. Renu Pande, Deputy Legal Adviser, for the purpose of rule 13 of the said rules in relation to notaries appointed by the Central Government; and 2. Shri Rajeev Kumar, Deputy Secretary, for the purpose of the said rules, in relation to the notaries appointed by Central Government, except rule 13. [F.
