NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 23rd June, 2025
G.S.R. 414(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (z) of sub-section (2) of section 176 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Electricity (Transmission System Planning, Development and Recovery of Inter-State Transmission Charges) Rules, 2021, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Electricity (Transmission System Planning, Development and Recovery of Inter-State Transmission Charges) Amendment Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Electricity (Transmission System Planning, Development and Recovery of Inter-State Transmission Charges) Rules, 2021, in rule 3, in sub-rule (5), after the first proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
"Provided further that the Central Government may delegate powers to the National Committee on Transmission and Central Transmission Utility for approving Inter-State Transmission System projects subject to the cost limits specified by the Central Government from time to time."
