NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 25th September, 2024
S.O. 4218(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (3) of section 3 of
the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the
Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub -section (ii), number S.O. 1533(E), dated
the 14th September, 2006, the Central Government hereby makes further amendment in the
notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate
Change vide number S.O. 2276(E), dated the 11th June, 2021, namely: -
In the said notification, -
(i) In paragraph 1, in the Table, for serial number 3 and the entries relating thereto, the
following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely: -
“3. Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma,
Chief Environment Officer,
Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board Member Secretary.”;
(ii) after paragraph 2, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely: -
“2A. The tenure of Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma shall be co -terminus with the tenure of the other
members of the Authority.”.

Note. - The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
Section 3, Sub -section (ii), vide number S.O. 2276(E), dated the 11th June, 2021 and subsequently
amended vide S.O. 754(E), dated the 16th February,2022, vide S.O. 3450(E), dated the 1st August,
2023 and vide S.O. 2210(E), dated the 6th June, 2024.
