NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th July, 2025
S.O. 3396(E).— Whereas it appears to the Central Government that Coal is likely to be obtained from the lands in the locality mentioned in the Schedule annexed hereto.
And whereas, the plan bearing number SECL/BSP/GM(L and R)/LAND/15 dated the 26th October, 2024, containing details of the area covered by this notification may be inspected at the office of the Collector, District Shahdol, Madhya Predesh or the office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller's Organization, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th Floor, Core II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi 110092 or at the office of the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (Land and Revenue Dept), Seepat Road, Bilaspur 495006, Chhattisgarh or General Manager (exploration Division), Central Mine Planning & Design Institute limited, Gondwana Place, Kanke Road, Ranchi 834031, Jharkhand;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal in the land described in the aforesaid schedule.
Any person interested in the land described in the above-mentioned schedule may -:
i. claim compensation under Section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub section (3) of Section 4 of the said Act, or
ii. claim compensation under sub-section (1) of Section 13 of the said Act, in respect of prospecting license ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of Section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the aforesaid land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act,
to the Officer-In-Charge or Head of the Department (Revenue), South Eastern Coalfields Limited, Seepat Road, Bilaspur 495006, Chhattisgarh within a period of ninety days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

Boundary description:
A-B: (Line running towards South-East Direction) Line starting from point A in village Bargwan and goes to Deohara and meet at point B at common village boundary of Deohara and Bargawan.
B-C: (Line running towards North-East Direction) Line starting from point B which lies on common village boundary of Deohara and Bargawan and Passes through reserve forest land and meet point C in Village Bargawan.
C-D: (Line running towards East Direction) Line starting from point C and meet at point D which lies on common Village boundary of Deori and Kelhauri.
D-E: (Line running towards North-East Direction) Line starting from point D which lies on common village boundary of Deori and Kelhauri and meet at point E which Lies on common village boundary of Kelhauri and Batura in middle of across the river Son.
E-F: (Line running towards North-East Direction) Line starting from point E which lies on Common village boundary of Kelhauri and Batura in middle across the river and crosses National Highway NH-43 and meet point F.
F-G: (Line running towards South-East Direction) Line starting from point F which lies on common village boundary of Batura and Bichhiya and passes through Jamunia nallah and meet at point G in village Rampur.
G-H: (Line running towards South Direction) Line stared from point G which lies on village Rampur and meet at point H in same village Rampur.
H-I: (Line running towards West Direction) Line starting from point H in village Rampur and crosses Jamunia nallah and meet at point I which lies on common village boundary of Village Bichhiya and Batura.
I-J: (Line running towards South-West Direction) Line starting from point I which lies on common village boundary of Bichhiya and Batura and passes through NH-43 and meet at point J which lies on common village boundary of Batura and Kelhauri.
J-K: (Line running towards South-West Direction) Line starting from point J which lies on common village boundary of Batura and Kelhauri and cross sone river and meet at point K which lies on common village boundary of Kelhauri and Deori.

N-A: (Line running towards North-East Direction) Line starting from point N in village Bargawan meet at starting point A near Amlai station.
