Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Power, via notification dated 19th March 2025, announces the appointment of Shri Ravinder Singh Dhillon as Member (Finance) of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). The appointment, made by the President, is effective from 17th February 2025, for a period of five years or until Shri Dhillon attains the age of 65, whichever is earlier. This is in accordance with section 76(6) and section 89(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003. Shri Dhillon, previously Chairman and Managing Director of Power Finance Corporation Ltd., will receive a consolidated monthly pay of Rupees Five Lakhs, excluding housing and vehicle benefits.
