Core Purpose

Indian Nursing Council withdraws recognition of Yamuna Institute of Nursing effective 26.10.2024 due to deficiencies.

Detailed Summary

The Indian Nursing Council has issued a withdrawal order for the recognition of Yamuna Institute of Nursing in Bihar, effective from October 26, 2024. This decision follows an inspection report dated December 4, 2023, which highlighted significant deficiencies in clinical and teaching facilities, rendering the institution unsuitable for ANM, GNM, and B.Sc (N) nursing programs. Despite notices issued to both the institution and the Bihar State Government seeking recommendations, neither responded. Consequently, qualifications obtained from Yamuna Institute of Nursing after October 26, 2024, will only permit registration within the State of Bihar.
